A Word of Thanks We would just like to take the time to thank Pat Kite and Susan Roberts for their hard work over the years on our behalf at the Fuengirola Market. For personal reasons they have decided to give up this market, so on behalf of SOS and all their animal friends, a BIG thank you! Pat will be continuing for the time being at Paloma Park Market in Benalmadena so if anyone would like to help us raise much needed funds, could they call Kim on 620 782 484 as it would be greatly appreciated. We would like to point out that we have a Sunday market stall at Pescadores in Villa Franco and our charity shop in Sierra Gorda, Coín is open Mon-Fri 11am - 6pm and on a Saturday from 11am - 2pm. If anyone has fund-raising ideas to fill our missing market spots we would love to hear about them! Charity Golf Day held at the La Cala Resort SOS animals under the experienced stewardship of Stan Moxon held a charity Golf day at the La Cala Golf resort last Sunday 4th May. Golfers started at 9:00am via a shotgun start and they led the Texas scramble until the early afternoon when Stuart Eaton and friends from GOLF 4U rose victoriously to take the winner’s podium. A special note of thanks to Stan, Ana Nyblom, to our sponsors Connecta4, Antonio Jiménez of MIDAS, Devine Nails, Moments Restaurant, Motor Movers Spain and all our terrific golfers who made the Day a resounding success and raised a much needed 2.200€ for the animals at the Rescue Centre. Planning Woes Well it seems as there is no immediate end in sight to our planning woes with the Town Hall. Many people have asked us what the situation actually is but unfortunately it is very unclear. As you know we moved earth on the road side of the Rescue centre in preparation for temporary shelters only to be told that if we didn't put the earth back where it was we would be heavily fined. As you know the well-being and care of our animal guests is, and always has been, our primary objective and from our kennel pics you can see the vast difference in the types of shelter we can offer to the other temporary variety which are prone to stifling heat in the summer and flooding in the winter. There is no simple answer to our predicament but we will keep you posted with any developments. Thank you Kim Halliwell (SOS)
